My plans for the Skyline are hopefully about to change. It might be back on the road sooner that it looked up until recently. Fingers crossed.

Garden: Done. The boss just needs to get it planted now.
Micra: Done. Passed the MOT and taxed
Skyline: Not bloody done. Still . Oil pump is back and is in good shape but other than that no really change. Oh yeah the brake calipers are all cleaned up but need new seals

I must make an effort to get the welding on the front end done. Engine can wait till I can afford new shells.

Tonight while I was driving home from work there was one of the most amazing sunsets i've ever seen in this country. I can't even begin to describe it. It's a shame I couldn't take a photo. Absolutely beautiful.

Currently i'm cleaning the rust off the front suspension. It's so rusty but it'll be fine when it's done. It will need new brake hoses and anti-roll bar drop-links though. New stainless braided brake hoses will help it stop and give the pedal a better feel.

The kingpin covers are really rotten with their rubber caps almost disintegrated.

I've taken the oil pump off to send off for a refurbish. I hope that the wear on the drive face is ok...

I guess it might be cheaper/quicker to pickup some front suspension that's in better condition but I like cleaning up parts that have very little wrong with them. Things are too quickly binned now rather than restored.

As I drive along the A52 towards Nottingham in the mornings i'm amazed at the amount of litter thoughtless numpties have thrown into the road. There's allsorts of crap in the central reservation - plastic cups, cans, bottles, cds, baloons, broken signs, a magnetic taxi sign, and crisp bags. Hundreds of bloody crisp bags. Really, hundreds.

Crisp bags must outnumber carrier bags by the road by 10 to 1. But why do these idiots have to throw them out of their vehicles?
